What a great day at Faces of Industrial Research 2026!

We had the opportunity to connect with 100+ students and researchers coming from diverse backgrounds: life sciences, engineering, data science, chemistry, and beyond. Throughout the day the curiosity, the questions, and the energy were truly inspiring. 

Our speaker, Fabio De Martino, shared his perspective on

“Beyond academia - what changes, what doesn’t, and why curiosity matters most.” 

He spoke about the transition from research to industry, the realities behind the shift, and how staying curious can be your biggest advantage in any environment.

At our booth, we had many meaningful conversations - about career paths, internships, first roles in industry, and what working at SOPHiA GENETICS really looks like. It’s always motivating to meet people who are thinking intentionally about their next steps.
