Last week, we had the pleasure of collaborating with Geneva Business School for a multi-day exchange focused on AI, customer experience, and operational excellence in biotech. MBA biotech students from across the globe, including Denmark, Republic of Mauritius, Belgium, and Switzerland, came together with a shared curiosity for shaping the future of healthcare.
AI & Customer Experience in Biotech
On Monday, Gianfranco Piroli joined the students in Geneva for a guest lecture exploring how AI is transforming customer operations across healthcare and biotech into the realities of clinical workflows.
Together, discussions explored:
- AI-driven customer experience and support operations
- Use cases including copilots, predictive support, ticket triage, and knowledge management
- The challenges of implementing AI in regulated environments
- Why customer experience is becoming a key differentiator in precision medicine
What made the session especially meaningful was the engagement and curiosity from the students, creating thoughtful conversations around the future of AI, leadership, and healthcare innovation.
Innovation in Action at SOPHiA GENETICS
On Wednesday, we welcomed the students and faculty to our Rolle office at SOPHiA GENETICS for a closer look at how innovation and operational excellence come together to support healthcare professionals and improve patient outcomes.
The group spent time with Maxime Vallée, Senior BIO IT Customer Services Specialist, who shared insights into what makes SOPHiA DDM™ best-in-class and how customer-centric innovation supports laboratories and clinicians globally. Students also connected with our Talent Management team to learn more about our culture, people, and mission-driven approach to innovation and collaboration.
Moments like these remind us how valuable collaboration between academia and industry can be in inspiring the next generation of healthcare and biotech leaders.
