This year, we had the pleasure of welcoming Virgile, Hugo, and Mohamed – three students from our partner school ESTIA, the famous engineering school in Bidart known for shaping curious and talented minds.
Our connection with ESTIA goes beyond internships. With six ESTIA alumni already working at SOPHiA GENETICS, this partnership is part of our long-term commitment to nurturing local talent and contributing to the regional economy.
They each joined SOPHiA GENETICS with the goal of turning their studies into hands-on experience and seeing how technology can create real change in healthcare. What they discovered here is an opportunity to learn, experiment, and find their own direction.
Virgile
Virgile wanted to build on the foundation he gained at ESTIA while exploring new areas of computer science.

Hugo
Hugo joined with a desire to understand how AI and machine learning can be applied to meaningful, real-world problems.

Mohamed
Mohamed was eager to dive into large-scale projects and quickly found his place within the team.
