In this episode of Our Talents, Our DNA, we're introducing Audrey, Junior Data Engineer, whose journey at SOPHiA GENETICS started as an intern. 

Fresh out of engineering school, Audrey joined the team to gain her first professional experience. Today, she's a full-time member of our Data Engineering team, working on projects ranging from clinical data preparation to digital twins and user interface prototypes.

Looking back, Audrey says one of the biggest surprises was the people of the company. As a first-time intern, she expected making mistakes to be stressful. Instead, she found a team that saw mistakes as opportunities to learn. That support gave her the confidence to ask questions, collaborate openly, and keep growing.

Audrey's story reflects the spirit of our internship program. We welcome interns to learn, challenge themselves, and contribute from day one. Sometimes, as in Audrey's case, that journey continues far beyond the internship and grows into a long-term career.
