Internship project: Automation of Security testing

Complete an internship project at SOPHiA GENETICS whose mission is to build the future of AI-assisted medicine. Joining the Information Security team as a Junior Info Sec Analyst intern. 

Your mission: 

Reporting to the Information Security Lead, you will evaluate and put in place state of the art tools to automate security testing of SOPHiA GENETICS applications and infrastructure. You will use a combination of offensive and defensive tools and techniques and then automate it to identify security issues and vulnerabilities continuously. 

You will be involved in: 

• Do a state of the art of security testing tools and techniques, such as Atomic Red Team, azure hound, etc 

• Maintain and integrate Static and Dynamic Application Security Testing  (SAST and DAST) tools In the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) 

• Review GITLAB configuration to enhance the security and code reviews  

• Perform Security reviews and analysis of cloud infrastructure in Azure 

• Improve our security alerting and monitoring

What you will learn: 

• Industry good practices on Cybersecurity 

• Both Offensive and Defensive aspect of security 

• Automation in a cloud environment 

Requirements

• Passionate about Cybersecurity 

• Basic Knowledge on a Cloud Provider (Azure, GCP, AWS, ...) 

• Software development and automation (Java, Python, Terraform is a plus) 

• Basic Knowledge with Kubernetes and Docker 

• Degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Information Security or related field
